I have been approached by a few parents and scouts who would like to attend this camporee, some of them first year scouts. A few issues have come to light that may not make this an attractive opportunity for first year scouts.

Patriot Days Camping (June) Cancelled

Since this is the same weekend as the Order of the Arrow Ordeal/Brotherhood, and most of the elected candidates are going to Trexler, this is being cancelled.

Are you interested in the Climbing Merit Badge?

The Climbing merit badge is offered at summer camp this year, but perhaps you can't fit it into your schedule, Dutch Springs offers the Climbing Merit Badge to scout groups as long as we have 8 participants.  I am trying to gauge interest from scouts who would like to spend one day this summer completing this badge at Dutch Springs. The cost per participant is $40 and it is a 8 hour course. Based on the number or interestested scouts, we can try to schedule a day that works for the majority of us.  Please check out the requirements for completing the badge in the attached file.
