New Scout Campout Wrap Up

Posted on Apr 25 2016 - 6:54am

We had a great weekend at French Creek State Park with our new Scouts. They got to experience a little bit of everything ... warm night, rain, the dangers of bacon grease on a stove, a sunny afternoon, and a cold night ... along with some great instruction from our older Scouts on fire building, pocket knife safety, ax, saw and hatchet safety and an introduction to the ax yard.

Posted on Apr 18 2016 - 2:53pm

Some of you are getting ready to experience your first camping trip with the Boy Scouts, whether as a new Scout or as a parent. It's bound to be an exciting time, but can also be nerve wracking (expecially for the parent not there).
