Committee and PLC meetings RESCHEDULED

Due to multiple conflicts with Council and with school activities, we are rescheduling both the troop committee and PLC meetings from this Tuesday. The committee meeting will likely be held this Wednesday or Thursday (contact Greg O'Neill if you want to attend and haven't heard from him). The PLC meeting will be held after the troop meeting on August 26 (with the newly-elected patrol leaders).

Class B Troop T-shirts are in

A new batch of class B T-shirts are in stock. These are light gray T-shirts with the same logo as the neckerchiefs. They are highly recommended for summer camp and for any troop activity where you would not want to wear your class A uniform shirt.

We would like to thank Karen Semet for organizing this years' troop picnic. 

The weather was perfect for a swim in the pool. The food was just right for a hot day too!

Desperately need activity coordinators

Parents, 

In order to coordinate troop activities, we assign an adult activity coordinator to each month. This coordinator doesn't need to run any of the events, but is responsible for ensuring that there is sufficient preparation for the events to happen. The scouts created the calendar, but we need adult volunteers to coordinate with guest speakers, make sure trips get set up, and basically get each month's planning started at least a month or two prior.

We also still need an overall Activities Chair. The main job of the Activities Chair is to make sure we have activity coordinators for each month.

Please get in touch with Greg O'Neill or Jerry Williams if you can volunteer for any of these coordinator roles.
